Microsoft Network in 1997
In 1997 when most people still did not have computers in their homes, Microsoft created an alternative to their higher end MSN sites for dial-up modem connections slower then 28.8kps. Internally the MSN site for these users was called "downlevel." Mihalyo Studios was contracted to redesign "downlevel" sites for much of MSN's higher speed and plug-in dependent content.
