Microsoft Network in 1997
Microsoft in the late 90s thought the internet would be a lot like television. MSN would be the largest internet destination for 6 channels of network programming. Teams were set up in order to write, direct, and produce "Shows" for the network. Each show had mini versions of an episode which needed to be reformatted in Flash and streamed to new users in order to entice them to subscribe to MSN. Below are 3 of dozens of show mini-episodes created for the "free-space." Shown are: Motorsite (staring Click and Clack the tappet brothers) Underwire: the first online woman's magazine, and Retro360: a history magazine. Mihalyo Studios was contracted to create these teasers from existing content.
