OK Hotel Cafe and Bar
The legendary OK Hotel was the location for the birth of Grunge music. It was the film location for numerous television programs, commercials, and films, including the film "Singles." With two stages, it was one of the Seattle hotspots to see up-and-coming bands and mid carrier underground music. In February 2001 the Nisqually put an end to this 14 year old music venue. Today the historic building has been retrofitted and is home to low income families. The signage in the splash page photograph below now hangs in the EMP (Paul Allen's "Experience Music Project".)
