Print: OK Hotel music calandars.
Seattle's music venue "the OK Hotel" was one of the cornerstones of the "Grunge" music scene during the late 80's and early 90's. These monthly music calendars chronicle the later half of Seattle's youth music at that time. I designed these calendars for trade at the OK Hotel Cafe, at a time when I was making the transition between manual and computer art. Essentially, my process was to print out the information on a page, and draw around the text.
These calendars were produced monthly as 18" X 24" posters, and as well as small hand-flyers In true "grunge" fasion, with a photocopy machine.
The OK Hotel closed after the 2001 Nisqually earthquake.
