As part of the I.E.4 Active desktop, Microsoft concived of interactive screen savers that could direct streaming content to passive screens. These concept interface designs were proposed by Mihalyo Studios in 1996. Dated by today's standards the project never shipped due to the anti-trust lawsuit still in courts today.
